I’m a novice knitter and I’ve been knitting for about 1 and a half years. What basic equipment should i have by now? I know i can’t get everything at once, but i want to know what i have and what i should put on top of my wish list. Thanks for answering!
Argh! That’s no what i meant! I meant stuff like cable needles and circular needles and that! And please, no stupid answers, and can someone who actually KNITS answer my question?
mom says
to pick up stuff as you need it
or
go to thrift shops yard sales or the like and get it there cheap
the old ones die and the family doesn’t want the stuff so its cheap
My mom has an old knitting machine she wants to sell. I don’t know much about it but its very large and all still works. I know this isn’t much to go on, but does anyone have any guesses on what it might be worth? Thanks!
The case says Brother Electronic KH-940, not sure if this helps at all! Thanks for your answer!
Online the Brother KH940 is going for 600-1500 dollars. That is for a complete package, with all parts and a refurbished machine.Selling to a resaler, you might get half of that
.Selling as a private party, you could get in that range, but need to minus the cost of your advertising, time, effort and condition of the machine.
If Mom is part of the local knitting scene in your area, putting word out at local yarn shops should attract interest. Her ability to explain the machine’s qualities will determine the price.
Can someone tell me some sites that will easily tell me the basics of knitting, how to cast on, cast off, and so on. I need a site that will thoroughly tell me everything I need to know about knitting. Can someone please help me!! And if you have information that you know, please tell as well!! Thanks!
I like knittinghelp.com and lionbrand.com
Lionbrand has written instructions with diagrams you can print out as well as videos.
Knittinghelp has excellent videos of almost any knitting technique you can think of and shows the technique in Continental and English styles of knitting.
I have recently started to design cross stitch bookmarks but have used the letters and patterns from different sources and have just combined them. for example used letters from one company and the main picture from another pattern source. I want to be able to sell these at craft fairs and places similar. I just want to make sure that if i sell these items that I don’t get in trouble with copyright infringement.
Your cross stitch pattern is a derivative work of whatever you’re basing it on. If that work is copyrighted, your derivative work is illegal and considered copyright infringement.
