I’m wondering why did all cross-stitch kits, embroidery gone from the market? I need to search web-stores in the internet now. Local shops are only for needle pointers.
I hear your annoyance. The answer to your question, though, is "the cross-stitch shop didn’t sell enough stuff to make a profit for the owner."
Sometimes cross-stitch shops survive and needlepoint shops go under; sometimes it’s the other way around. The local shop here carries knitting, crocheting, weaving, needlepoint, cross-stitch, and embroidery stuff in about 500 square feet of space–and they have a section for classes as well. The owner is a weaver and knitter, and as long as she can support her own hobby and break even, she’s happy. So she carries the upscale lines that her customers want. Not every shop owner has that luxury.
