My first week of guerilla art consisted mainly of making postcards and leaving them behind at odd places for people to find them: behind windscreen wipers, in shops, on the mirror in the hall of my building and tucked away in a book in the library. I’ve already posted some pictures here, but here’s one more. The letters came from a paper carrier bag that said "Low cost books & stationary". I have loved making postcards and leaving them behind this week. It made me feel connected. To what I’m not sure. I noticed more details when I was walking around. I wondered about who found my cards and what did they think of it. I imagine people were suprised. I hope they were. Postcards are a fairly easy way of starting with guerilla art, as you can leave cards behind everywhere and people don’t really notice you doing it. This week I’m going to try to do something a little more challenging. I haven’t decided what exactly, but I”ll keep you posted here!
