New Year’s stuff

A new year, a new beginning. And a new home for my blog. Welcome! Whether you followed me from Dublin City Girl or you found me by accident, I hope you’ll return every once in a while. I’ve just moved, so there’s still work to be done. A lot of work actually, before I can call this place home. I don’t mind really. I like the idea of ‘building my own place.’
A new year, a new beginning. I don’t normally make New Year’s resolutions. I make resolutions alright, but I don’t necessarily wait until the first of January to start with them. In fact, I’d rather not do it on the first day of the new year. You can start new resolutions on every single day of the year, in my opinion. Anyway, that’s not my point. What I wanted to say was that this year I do have a New Year’s resolution. Or maybe it’s more of a theme really than a resolution. My theme for 2008:
In order to bring out the best in myself, I’m making a list. A list of things I’d like to do this year. Things I’ve never done before, because I didn’t have the nerve or because I didn’t know how. Things that sound like fun. Things that I’d never do before. I’m trying to come up with 52 things, 1 thing a week. It’s supposed to be fun, so there are going to be weeks where I don’t do anything off the list and there will be weeks where I’ll do 2 or 3 new things. I haven’t finished my list yet, so if you have any suggestions you think I should try, let me know!
What’s your theme for this year?
