Funky office
Yesterday I attended a training at Google here in Dublin. Their offices are amazing! Like a true tourist I simply had to take pictures and let me tell you, I was not the only one… I wish my office could look even remotely like this. Have a look yourself:

I love the funky wallpaper in this study booth and the lava lamp. Did you notice the abacus next to the phone? I haven’t seen one of those since I left primary school!
Big, very big bean bags in the relaxing area. I can tell you they are just as comfy as they look!
They provide different fridges stocked with healthy smoothies, sandwiches, yoghurt, cheese, all sorts of organic juices and even soy milk that employees can take whenever they want, it’s all free.
I was happy to see Google does take recycling seriously. Apart from recycling stations for glass bottles, plastic bottles, cans, etc. they also have a bin just for compost garbage like tea bags.
I’ve never seen a company provide sanitary towels for their female employees like this, but I think it’s a great initiative.
These are without a doubt the coolest offices I have ever been to. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every office would be a bit more like this? In the meantime I enjoyed the smoothies and the lava lamps and I’m already looking forward to the next training…
