… The idea of guerilla art really speaks to me, but as I found out this morning, planning to do something and actually doing it are two different things. I wanted to leave a small (non-permanent) mark that would hopefully make people smile when they’d see it. I chickened out. Have to find the guts to actually do it. Maybe first try it when it’s dark and there are not so many people around.

***UPDATE: I did it! I went out around 10 pm and left my little mark. It was too dark to take a picture, but I’ll try to do that tomorrow and post it ***

… A lot of blogs have feeds, which make it easy to keep track of new posts on them. Much easier than checking manually every day. I’ve spent yesterday afternoon trying to figure out how I can get a feed on my blog as well, but without success. I feel really dumb now, so if any of you could enlighten me, I’d be eternally grateful.

… Yay! I’ve just booked my ticket to go skiing in February! Very excited already. In fact, so excited that I simply had to buy new ski glasses and thermal underwear (you never know what the weather is gonna be like and layers, my friend, are the answer).

… Maybe I do have green fingers after all! In October I spent a love two days in Italy. In Tuscany actually. Everything was wonderful: the view, the sun, the food and the smells. Yes, the smells. Our hotel was surrounded by rosemary bushes and my nose just couldn’t get enough of that yummie smell. I wanted that smell at home too! I wondered if I’d take a twig home, if I could grow my own rosemary bush. And okay, my twig has taken it’s time, as nature often does, but slowly it’s developing new roots!

… New Year’s Eve in Ireland is celebrated without fireworks. It’s true! In fact, fireworks are illegal here, so that explains. Even though I knew all this, I was still very disappointed when there were no bangs or colourful explosions. So I wasn’t too enthusiastic when one of my friends from back home called yesterday to see if I’d already made plans for the last night of the year. That all changed when she asked if she could fly over to celebrate it here with us. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the cheap ticket she saw is still available!

… I’m on a strict diet these days: no sugar and no yeast. Of course this makes my mind go mad thinking about all things I want to eat, but am not allowed to for now. Chocolate, strawberry cheesecake icecream, cookies of all sorts, honey in my tea, and most of all cheese.
