Everyone says blogging is easy. I do not agree. Blogging is turning out to be far more complicated than I’d thought. It wasn’t just about writing. I can do writing, writing was the easy part. But all the rest! Figuring out the right colours and personalizing the template and deciding how much personal stuff I’m willing to make public was more difficult. I’ve already spent hours reading online blog tutorials, following their advice to get inspiration by looking at other blogs or one of the many free templates that were offered all over the web. This has been a big mistake. Instead of getting inspiration, I’m getting frustrated. Not knowing the least bit of html is kind of a problem if you want your very own blog design and you want it now.

I sigh.

Ok, so it’s gonna be a work in progress. After all, Rome wasn’t built in one day either. I’m not a web designer, not even a designer for that matter. Writing is the most important thing here. I’ve known I wanted to be a writer since I was 7, yet I’ve spent most of my time since then trying not to be a writer.
